A Summer Affair

Mother of four little children and nationally recognized glassblower Claire Danner Crispin takes on more than she can handle when she decides to co-chair a sizable charity concert on Nantucket. At least in part, Claire's request to chair the Nantucket Children Summer Gala stems from the fact that she was formerly high school sweetheart of rock musician Max West. When Claire agrees to make a "museum-quality" glass piece for the auction, offers her best friend the catering job ahead of time, gets into a heated argument with her Manhattan socialite co-chair, and starts a "good-hearted" relationship with Lockhart Dixon, the executive director of the charity, things appear to be going well for her.

In this in-depth look at one woman's struggle to manage past and current loves, raise a family, operate a company, and organize a charity event unlike any the island of Nantucket has ever seen, hearts shatter and emotions strain to the breaking point.
