Anatomy: A Love Story

Hazel Sinnett is a woman who is more interested in becoming a surgeon than a spouse.

Resurrection guy Jack Currer is simply trying to make it through a city where it's too simple to pass away.

Hazel first pays little attention to their unexpected meeting outside of the Royal Edinburgh Anatomists' Society. But after she is expelled from famous surgeon Dr. Beecham's lectures for being the incorrect gender, she comes to the conclusion that her new friend could be more useful than she first believed. Because Hazel and Dr. Beecham have an agreement in which she may continue her medical profession if she can pass the medical exams on her own. But in the absence of formal instruction, Hazel will need more than just her books—she will require dead people to study.

Fortunately, she has connected with someone who actively searches for them.

However, Jack is dealing with his own issues: his pals are going missing from the streets, strange men are spotted lurking about graves, and the deadly Roman fever—which killed millions of people a few years ago—is returning with a fury. Not much matters—until Hazel does.

Jack and Hazel must now collaborate in order to unearth the mysteries buried not just in unmarked graves but also at the center of Edinburgh society.
