Astrid Parker Doesn't Fail

In this new romantic comedy from author Ashley Herring Blake (of Delilah Green Doesn't Care), an interior designer who is always in need of the ideal plan learns to revamp her love life without one.

Failure is intolerable to Astrid Parker. Her friends may call her obsessive, but she knows she's simply motivated, and she has been focused on her work ever since she split up with her fiancé a year ago. Astrid is overjoyed when Pru Everwood invites her to be the designer for the Everwood Inn's renovations, which will be shown on the well-liked HGTV program, Innside America. Her always disgruntled mother could finally give her the go-ahead for the project, which would also aid her failing company and serve as a diversion from her broken engagement.

But Astrid had no idea that the chief carpenter for the makeover, Pru's granddaughter Jordan Everwood, hates every contemporary design choice Astrid makes. Given that the rest of her life is in disarray, Jordan is keen to preserve the legacy of her family's inn. The showrunners want them to ramp up the suspense when that resolve devolves into a little bit of light sabotage to tease Astrid's flawless little feathers. However, as time goes on, their distaste for one another changes, and Astrid is forced to make a decision about what success really means. Will she follow her desires or the life that society expects her to lead?
