If you could go back in time, what would you change?

For almost a century, a Tokyo café located in a little back alley has been providing expertly made coffee to customers. However, this coffee shop gives its patrons the opportunity to go back in time, which is a unique experience.

In Before the Coffee Gets Cold, we meet four guests who are hoping to take advantage of the café's time-traveling offer in order to see their sister for the last time, meet their daughter they never had the chance to meet, confront the man who left them, and receive a letter from their husband whose memory has been stolen by early onset Alzheimer's.

However, there are hazards associated with travelling into the past: patrons are obligated to occupy a certain seat, they are unable to exit the café, and ultimately, they have to make their way back to the present before the coffee becomes cold.

In this exquisite and poignant tale, Toshikazu Kawaguchi tackles the age-old query: if one could go back in time, what would one change? More significantly, if you could meet someone one final time, who would it be?
