Born of Fire

Everyone lives in dread in a cosmos where assassins are the law—that is, everyone except Syn. He was raised in a clan that had been upended by an illegal scandal, thus he was always able to eke out an existence on the vicious streets. However, that was then, and here is the present.

Raised as a tech-thief, Syn discovered a fact that might be fatal to him via his line of work. He attempted to destroy the evidence, and ever then, he has fled the scene. He no longer lets anybody threaten him since he has assassination training. Never. He is the darkness that engulfs and devours his adversaries.

The world's greatest bounty hunter is Shahara Dagan. She is the only one who can bring him to justice when Syn resurfaces. The only issue is that Syn is a close friend of the Dagan family who has provided the Dagans with untold assistance. However, their lives will be in jeopardy if she manages to rescue him. Is the danger worth Syn's protection? Shahara's only chance is to unearth the proof he long since buried. It's kill or be killed now, and the predators have just turned into the prey.
