At the Jedi school, Luke Skywalker lay in a condition of suspended animation, a victim of his own demise. However, Luke battles valiantly to survive on the spirit dimension and makes physical contact with the Jedi twins. Leia is simultaneously engaged in a life-or-death race against Imperial operatives who want to kill a third Jedi kid, Leia and Han's infant Anakin, which is concealed on the planet Anoth. Convinced he is fighting for a good cause, Luke's old protege Kyp Durron has taken control of the deadly Sun Crusher and is on a cataclysmic mission of mass devastation. Han must to convince Kyp to give up his sinister mission and restore his lost respect in order to hunt down the renegade warrior. To do that, Han believes they may not be able to defeat the formidable Death Star prototype—even with Luke Skywalker on their side—so Kyp must take the Sun Crusher on a suicide mission!
