Jade's troubles don't end with her abduction by extraterrestrials. Theo is shocked when Jade chooses him to be her husband. He is a scarred mercenary who would rather live alone. He and everyone else had no idea that they would be selected after years of being passed over. The attractive woman with a curvaceous figure could only be a spy, and Theo is determined to uncover her identity by any means necessary.
Jade and Theo's chemistry becomes evident as they are compelled to spend time together. But given Jade's apparent will to return home, neither can afford to include love in the situation. She can't possibly stay here, after all.
