A daughter is born into the family of the sun god and strongest Titan, Helios. However, Circe is an odd child—not strong like her father, nor seductively strong like her mother. Seeking solace in the realm of humans, she finds that she does, in fact, have power—the power of witchcraft, which can turn enemies into monsters and threaten the gods themselves.

Fearing for her life, Zeus banishes her to an isolated island where she practises her sorcery, tames wild animals, and meets many of the most well-known mythological characters—such as the Minotaur, Daedalus and his fatal son Icarus, the ruthless Medea, and, of course, the cunning Odysseus.

However, there is risk involved for a woman standing by herself, and Circe unintentionally incurs the wrath of both gods and humans, finally finding herself in the company of one of the most hateful and fearsome Olympians. Circe must gather all her power and make a final decision about whether she belongs with the gods she was born of or the humans she has grown to love in order to defend what she loves most.
