The release date for the English version of 'Dexter in the Dark' by Jeff Lindsay is Sep 2007. If you enjoy this novel, it is available for buy as a paperback from Barnes & Noble or Indigo, as an ebook on the Amazon Kindle store, or as an audiobook on Audible.

Dexter Morgan is used to witnessing wicked crimes in his line of work as a Miami crime scene detective, especially because he sometimes loves doing them himself. He leads an apparently regular existence, guided by his evil Passenger, the voice within him that assists in stalking his target, yet he only murders truly awful people.

Under the full moon, Dexter lives a secretive life as a blood spatter analyst for the Miami Police Department, assists his fiancée in raising her two charming, if somewhat...odd, children, and is always plotting his next adventure as Dexter the Dark Avenger.

But when Dexter is summoned to a graphic double murder, everything changes. The Dark Passenger goes into hiding when Dex learns he's dealing with someone much more evil than himself. Furthermore, you can tell something is serious when it terrifies your friendly local serial murderer.

Dex has to look into it while also taking care of his picky family. He's more used to inciting terror than feeling it. Dexter has to address questions he has never dared to ask before: where does evil originate from and does it lie within everyone? If he is to rescue himself and others around him, yes.
