Everless

Time is money in the kingdom of Sempera; it is taken from blood, bonded to iron, and used to extend one's own life. Like the Gerlings, the wealthy elite taxes the impoverished excessively, prolonging their own lives by millennia.

Jules Ember is the one who hates the Gerlings the most. She and her father had worked as slaves at the Gerlings' opulent estate, Everless, for ten years prior to a tragic incident that caused them to escape in the middle of the night. Jules believes she has to go back to Everless to buy herself more time with her father before she loses him forever after learning that he is terminally ill.

However, Jules never would have realised the peril and temptation that returning to Everless would bring. She soon finds herself entangled in a web of terrible secrets, her heart divided between two persons she had hoped she would never see again. Her choices have the ability to alter not just her own destiny but also the course of time.
