The release date for the English version of 'Exquisite Corpse' by Poppy Z. Brite is Aug 1997. If you enjoy this novel, it is available for buy as a paperback from Barnes & Noble or Indigo, as an ebook on the Amazon Kindle store, or as an audiobook on Audible.

Serial killer Andrew Compton views murder as the most personal kind of art. Compton travels to the United States with the express goal of elevating his "art" to new heights after pretending to die in order to get out of jail. Tormented by his own depraved urges, driven to control and kill innocent boys, Compton unintentionally teams up with playboy Jay Byrne, a determined individual who has taken his "art" to heights Compton never could have imagined. Compton and Byrne team together to target Tran, a stunning young Vietnamese-American fugitive, who they believe would make the ideal victim.

Exquisite Corpse quickly shifts from the gritty streets of Piccadilly Circus in London to the decadence of the French Quarter in New Orleans, intercut with tirades from radio talk show host Lush Rimbaud, also known as Tran's ex-lover Luke Ransom, who is dying of AIDS and wants to cause the most destruction possible before passing away. The story unravels into a maze of murder and love. In the end, the four individuals come together for one horrific night that will either permanently alter or end their lives.

Poppy Z. Brite takes us into a murderer's head and analyzes the environment of torment. Brite's status as a writer who defies classification is confirmed by Exquisite Corpse. This tale is meant for those who are willing to go where the holy and the vulgar meet.
