The story of Fight Night is recounted through the unique narrative of nine-year-old Swiv, who lives in Toronto with her expectant mother. Grandma steps in as a teacher when Swiv gets expelled from school and assigns her to write to Swiv's absent father about life in the home during the last trimester of her pregnancy.
