The release date for the English version of 'Filth' by Irvine Welsh is Sep 1998. If you enjoy this novel, it is available for buy as a paperback from Barnes & Noble or Indigo, as an ebook on the Amazon Kindle store, or as an audiobook on Audible.

Detective Sergeant Bruce Robertson of Edinburgh's finest is getting ready for Christmas socially, starting with a week of drugs and sex in Amsterdam.

But there are some major issues as well: a wife and kid who go missing, a bothersome cocaine habit, some excruciating dermatitis below the belt, and a run of demanding adulterous romances. Even if it means overtime and the chance to finally get the promotion he so desperately wants, Robertson really doesn't need a messy, racially charged murder. And there's that intestinal parasite in his stomach that requires a lot of nutrients and causes psychological distress. Indeed, things are not looking good for this completely dishonest tribune of the law, but nothing in an Irvine Welsh book is ever so terrible that it can't become much worse.
