Forgotten in Death

Homicide investigator Eve Dallas searches through the debris of the past in the most recent book in her #1 New York Times bestselling series in an attempt to identify a murderer.

The victim, a woman without a set residence who was renowned for trading spare change for paper flowers and reporting to the police any violations she saw on the street, was found dead in a dumpster, like so much other rubbish. However, there is no sign of the notebook in which she recorded her intelligence on litterers and other similar criminals.

Eve is then called away to a neighboring construction site to see other bones that have been uncovered by recent construction work. These remains are in this case decades old and are decked with expensive attire and gold jewelry. Although it shouldn't surprise her given that the Irish millionaire owns a sizable portion of New York, she is upset to learn that her husband, Roarke, is the rightful owner of the crime scene. Eve is now forced to navigate a convoluted realm of real estate development, murky transactions, family history, and startling truths in order to bring justice to the two ladies whose lives were taken.
