From Dead to Worse

Everyone, human and otherwise, is under stress after the natural calamity of Hurricane Katrina and the man-made explosion at the vampire summit. Sookie Stackhouse, a cocktail waitress from Louisiana, is struggling to deal with the news that her lover Quinn has vanished.

Whether the weres and vamps in her patch of Louisiana like it or not, it's obvious that things are changing. Sookie, who is closely linked to Eric Northman, the head of the local vampire community, and a friend of the Pack, is also affected by the changes.

In the conflicts that follow, Sookie encounters peril, death, and yet another act of treachery by a loved one. And her world will never be the same when the fur stops flying and the cold blood stops running.
