The release date for the English version of 'Incarceron' by Catherine Fisher is May 2007. If you enjoy this novel, it is available for buy as a paperback from Barnes & Noble or Indigo, as an ebook on the Amazon Kindle store, or as an audiobook on Audible.

The descendants of the original inmates reside in the futuristic, hidden prison known as Incarceron, a desolate place riven by violence and competition. It is a terrible combination of medieval torture chamber features such as chains, huge halls, and dungeons, combined with modern tech elements such as a live structure that haunts the book like a spiteful, ever-watchful figure. Finn, a young prisoner, finds it hard to believe he was born and raised here and has disturbing glimpses of a past existence. The daughter of the Warden of Incarceron, Claudia, is imprisoned in the outside world in a future environment artfully designed to resemble a bygone period, and she is dreading her impending marriage. All she knows about Incarceron is that it exists. However, there comes a day when Claudia, outside the prison, and Finn, within, discover a crystal key at the same time. This allows them to communicate with one another. Thus, the scheme for Finn's escape is conceived.
