It Happened One Summer

Because of her wild kid persona and her status as a stylish and powerful woman, Piper Bellinger is often pursued by photographers. Piper's stepfather thinks enough is enough after an unruly rooftop party and too much champagne put Piper in jail. So he cuts her off, and sends Piper and her sister to learn some responsibility running their late father’s dive bar... in Washington.

Piper meets large, bearded sea captain Brendan after five minutes of arriving in Westport. Brendan believes Piper won't survive a week away from Beverly Hills. Whatever, Piper can't do maths, and she gets hives at the thought of staying in a run-down flat with bunk beds. How serious might it be? She's resolved to prove to her stepfather—as well as the attractive but sour local—that she's more than just a lovely face.

However, since it's a tiny town, Brendan keeps running into her. Despite their obvious differences—the stern fisherman and the carefree socialite are irresistibly drawn to one other. Distractions are the last thing Piper needs, particularly romantic sentiments for a guy who spends weeks at a time sailing off into the sunset. Yet as she reconnects with her past and begins to feel at home in Westport, Piper starts to wonder if the cold, glamorous life she knew is what she truly wants. Though Brendan and this town full of memories may have already won her heart, LA is calling her name.

Tessa Bailey is back with a romantic comedy reminiscent of Schitt's Creek about a Hollywood "It Girl" who is banished from her rich family and ends up butting heads with a sultry, attractive local who feels she doesn't belong.
