After surviving a family slaughter as a young kid, Cyrus Haven gradually put his life back together. Now, after almost twenty years, his brother is requesting to be let out of a safe mental health facility, and Cyrus is supposed to extend forgiveness and welcome Elias back into the family.

Now a prominent psychologist who works with the police, Cyrus shares his home with bright and disturbed girl Evie Cormac, who has the ability to detect lies. She was allegedly drugged and driven away from the pub where Evie works, according to the police. Before long, another victim is stolen, and the only person who saw the guy driving is Evie.
