I did everything backwards with Jack. He proposed on the day he drew me into his office, which was also the day we initially met. One would assume that a man with his appearance—perhaps a little aloof, but nevertheless stunning and very unreachable—would only propose to the love of his life. You would assume that he is deeply in love. Not at all. He asked, "It was me." Someone who had no idea who he was at all. a stranger whom her fiancé had broken up with only weeks before. You would imagine that I would laugh in his face, call him names like crazy, and run as fast as I could. Okay.I completed all of the actions, with the exception of leaving. He talked me into a business agreement, which turned into a marriage, in a matter of minutes, and it only took a few days for us to formally tie the knot. My most joyous day ever. Enchanted. Pour the bubbly. No. The day was at its worst. Jack Hawthorne was not at all what I had anticipated. I held him responsible for my poor decision. I placed the blame on his eyes—ocean blue eyes that shamelessly stared into my own—and the scowl on his face, which I had no imagined would eventually captivate me so much. Things began to change shortly after he said that I was the worst mistake of his life. Yes, he was still quite quiet, but anybody can put a few sentences together. To me, his deeds spoke the loudest. And my heart began to have its own will on a daily basis. In an instant, he was nobody. The following, he attained totality. In an instant, he was unreachable. He seemed entirely mine the next. I believed for a moment that we were in love. The next time, it remained just a falsehood. Ultimately, he was Jack and I was Rose. With such names, we were doomed from the start. Did you have any other expectations?
