Matilda is no match for "The Trunchbull"!

The little child Matilda seems too lovely to be true. She can do double-digit math problems and read Dickens quickly even at the age of five and a half. More astonishingly, her classmates like her despite the fact that she is the teacher's darling and a super-nerd. However, Matilda's world is not without flaws.

To begin with, she was raised by two of the most foolish and conceited people in history. And then there's Miss ("The") Trunchbull, the big, sultry school administrator who used to be a champion hammer thrower who flings kids about without consequence and has about as much empathy as a bulldozer. Luckily for Matilda, she has the inner strength to handle these kinds of annoyances: incredible intellect, saintly patience, and an inbuilt desire for vengeance.

Roald Dahl was a medical innovator, chocolate historian, spy, and expert jet pilot. In addition, he wrote many more fantastic tales, including Matilda, The BFG, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and many others. He is still the best storyteller in the world.
