Memnoch the Devil

Lestat is looking for Dora, the stunning and endearing mortal daughter of a drug lord, in the fifth Vampire Chronicle. Lestat has felt something about Dora that no other mortal has ever felt, and he can't stop seeing her in his dreams. Simultaneously, he becomes more conscious of the fact that the Devil is aware of who he is and wants something from him. Lestat, divided between his love for Dora and his world of vampires, is drawn in by Memnoch, who presents himself as the Devil. Lestat is given unfathomable chances by Memnoch, including the chance to see creation, go to purgatory, and be regarded like a prophet. Lestat must decide between God and the Devil. In whom does he have faith? For whom does he work? What components make up a religious belief? Lestat is engulfed in a maelstrom of decision-making.
