Portrait in Death

Eve Dallas discovers the remains of a young lady in a trash on Delancey Street after a tip from a reporter. A few hours before, an enigmatic portfolio of the woman's professional pictures had arrived at the news station. The pictures seemed to be typical of any attractive young lady beginning her modeling career. She wasn't a model, however. moreover, that these pictures were shot after her murder.

Dallas is now pursuing a murderer who also happens to be an artist and a perfectionist. He watches and records his victim's every action with great care. And he's on a mission: to capture the innocence of every stunning young lady and immortalize it in one disastrous picture.
