There are some truths about the world that Maddison James is going to learn.

First off, the paranormal is real.

What the heck?

Second, although nobody seems to be certain of the kind, she is one.

WTF twice over.

Thirdly, she is preparing to return to school.

That's right, things have become slightly more intriguing.

Education for shifters, vampires, magic users, and fey takes place in the Supernatural Academy. where they learn about their capabilities and how to live in society as humans. Although Maddison is already skilled in the human aspect, this supernatural element is a whole other and risky ball game.

First example: cruel girls who have the ability to transform you into a frog.

Example two: The Academy's god, Asher Lock. Not in the strict sense of the word. Who knows? He plays the part convincingly, as do all of his worshiping minions.

She finds Asher annoying because he's evidently like being snarly, handsome, and arrogant, and even though they detest one other, they have a spark between them. Asher is more and more driven to discover what has been preventing her from realizing her potential as they spend more time together.

Up until the point at which the reality sets in and they realize that nothing in this otherworldly realm is as it seems.
