Cass is having a hard time since the night she saw the car in the woods, on the winding rural road, in the middle of a downpour, with the woman sitting inside—the woman who was killed. But ever then, she has been forgetting everything, including the alarm code, where she parked the vehicle, whether or not she took her medication, and why she purchased a pram even though she isn't pregnant.
She is only able to remember that lady, the one she may have rescued, and the unbearable guilt that follows her everywhere.
