There's a lovely garden next to a remote home.

This garden is home to lush blooms and shade-loving trees.as well as an assortment of priceless "butterflies"—young ladies who have been abducted and lavishly tattooed to mimic their namesakes. The Gardener, a cruel and deranged man who is fixated with catching and conserving his exquisite specimens, is in charge of overseeing everything.

They find the garden and bring in a survivor to interview them. The mission assigned to FBI agents Victor Hanoverian and Brandon Eddison is to piece together one of the most nauseating cases of their professional lives. However, Maya, the girl, turns out to be quite the enigma in her own right.

Maya relates stories of horrifying tales of a man who would do everything to keep beauty hostage, as well as ancient grudges and new saviours, as her narrative takes unexpected turns and gradually illuminates life in the Butterfly Garden. However, when she divulges more, the agents are left wondering what more she could be holding back.
