Magnificent and opulent historical fiction about Katherine of Aragon's early years written by the globally acclaimed novelist Philippa Gregory.

Although Katherine of Aragon is most known for being the infertile wife of an infamous monarch, there is an intriguing backstory behind this image.

Born to soldiers and kings, Catalina, the Spanish Infanta, becomes Katherine of Aragon. She is brought up to be Queen of England and, at the age of four, is engaged to Arthur, Prince of Wales. She never questions the fact that ruling that distant, chilly, and rainy country is her fate.

Her faith is put to the test when she is met with a severe insult by her soon-to-be father-in-law, Arthur seems to be little more than a youngster, the cuisine is peculiar, and the traditions are harsh. She gradually gets used to life at the first Tudor court and finds it more easier to be Arthur's wife.

However, as the erudite young man passes away, she is forced to choose her own path: how can she become queen and establish a dynasty? only by being married to sunny but spoiled Henry, Arthur's younger brother. Her wealthy parents are of little service, and his father and grandparents are opposed to it. Nevertheless, Katherine has a strong will to overcome and is the daughter of her mother.

She is willing to tell the biggest falsehood and stick to it in order to accomplish her goal.
