Reacher won't give up, however. His form of battle is unlike any other. Along for the fatal chase is a young female lieutenant, who follows him from the rough edges of a rural army station through the narrow streets of Paris to a surprise encounter with an adversary he never knew he had. After learning of her last, shocking secret from his dying mother, who was born in France, Reacher is forced to reevaluate all of his previous beliefs on his family, work, allegiances, and even himself. For the kid of this soldier is heading into the unknown, where he will discover a complex web of intense passions, terrible demise, and a scheme that is more sinister, cunning, and cunning than anybody could have imagined.
