Lies and Secrets...

I've been hiding my true intentions—seeking retribution—for my entire life.

I became less of a man as time went on and more of an enigma.

I denied I had my own beating heart for a very long time.

Prior to her. Until she discovered the starved vessel inside of me, made me face it, and made me realize that I can bleed just like anybody else.

We paid for that. We continue to pay.

She still demands it, though, the worthless heart of the thief and egregious evil she fell for. I worry that I'm not that man anymore.

My mistakes are starting to catch up with me, day by day, one by one, because of the falsehoods I've spoken and the life I've led.

I don't want to lose her again, but when the lies from my past begin to come undone, giving up my humanity could be the only thing that can rescue us both. This is my final opportunity.

Perhaps it's too late already.
