The Lighthouse Witches

On a secluded island in Scotland, two sisters disappear. One is discovered twenty years later, but she is the same age as when she vanished. In this terrifying Gothic novel written by the author of the critically acclaimed The Nesting, the mysteries of witches span millennia.

Liv, a single mother, sees an opportunity to start over with her three girls, Luna, Sapphire, and Clover, when she receives a contract to paint a mural in a 100-year-old lighthouse on a secluded Scottish island. She becomes distraught when two of her daughters disappear. She finds out that before, women suspected of witchcraft were housed in the cave beneath the lighthouse. The townspeople alert her to the dangers of wildlings, otherworldly creatures fashioned by witches out of retaliation that resemble human infants. Liv is informed that wildlings are lethal and should be killed.

Luna has been looking for her mother and sisters, who went missing 22 years ago. She is first overjoyed to hear about her youngest sister, Clover, when she gets a call. She recognizes Clover as her sister, although she's still just seven years old, the age at which she disappeared. Clover worries Luna that she is a wildling. Although Luna doesn't remember much from her time there, she will need to go back to learn the truth about what actually happened to her family. However, she is unaware of how profoundly the truth will alter her.
