From the popular author of Nantucket White Christmas and Nantucket Neighbors for USA Today and Wall Street Journal.

Three sibling pairs. An inherited eatery on Nantucket. A year is needed before they can be sold.

As close as three sisters who live hundreds of miles away can get is Mandy, Emma, and Jill. Mandy is the only one who remained on Nantucket, where they all grew up.

Jill is a co-owner of a prosperous executive search company and leads an opulent life in Manhattan. She is in her mid-thirties, single, and has a gorgeous corner condo with views of the Hudson River and the city. Because she is a workaholic and spends more time with Nick than anybody else, everyone believes that there is a romantic relationship going on between them. However, their relationship has always been based on friendship, and Nick enjoys being a bachelor in New York City.

Emma is an elementary school teacher in Arizona and an aspiring photographer. In graduate school, she met Peter, her husband, a college professor, with whom she has been married for more than fifteen years. She's noticed that Peter has become more aloof in recent years. However, she is taken aback and finds her entire world to be upside down when he reveals a shocking secret.

Following her high school sweetheart Cory to Boston College, Mandy married him and he went on to become a successful hedge fund manager in Boston, while Mandy stayed at home with their two kids, Blake and Brooke. When Cory established up a rival hedge fund, they returned home to Nantucket. With the older kids, Mandy is excited to take on more tasks than just organizing neighborhood fundraising activities. However, Cory is against her working. He believes it reflects poorly on him, as Cory is all about appearances. However, Mandy starts to wonder about the true situation when she discovers a second cell phone in his gym bag.

A week before her ninety-ninth birthday, their cherished grandma Ethel Ferguson passes away quietly in her sleep, leaving them with quite the surprise. Apart from her Nantucket residence, they discover that she held a silent ownership position in Mimi's Place, a well-liked year-round restaurant on Nantucket.

Naturally, there's a catch: she bequeathed the restaurant equally to Mandy, Emma, and Jill, as well as to Paul, who had been the cook for the last fifteen years.

Additionally, the three girls must labor at the restaurant for a full year before they can sell; else, Paul will get their half of the business.

The same Paul who, years ago, crushed one of their hearts.
