A little child who is unaware of her name...

Fishermen discover a mother who has been severely beaten and a little girl inside a damaged boat in 1903. The two survivors are brought to All Hallows, the massive asylum tucked away deep on Dartmoor, after an ambulance is summoned. The tiny girl, named Harriet by the staff, wakes up and is sent to a quiet attic chamber away from the asylum's noise. Nurse Emma Everdeen is tasked with caring for her while the woman stays in a coma.

Two boys without mothers go to boarding school

All Hallows became a boarding school in 1993. Lewis Tyler is exiled to Dartmoor after his father's hurried remarriage and the death of his mother. He also loses his long hair and stylish clothes, and he feels more alone than ever. There, he meets another lost soul named Isak. The lads are left stranded in the school's old wing, the attic, while the dormitories are being renovated.

Old shouts and cries that are too loud to ignore...

The All Hallows structure is replete with ghost stories, murmurs, and sobs from the past. It quickly becomes apparent that there are spirits who are still restless as Lewis and Isak discover more about Harriet's destiny and Nurse Emma's valiant attempt to keep the young child safe.

Do the lads hear ghosts in the room above at night, or are they the restless spirits from the asylum trapped between the walls? And will All Hallows be able to find peace from Lewis and Isak before the past destroys them first?
