Next, he invites guest lecturer Regan Merritt, a former US marshal, to offer her knowledge and urges listeners to crowdsource what they remember.

Fresh information arrives, persuading Lucas and Regan that they are on the right track. Subsequently, an unexpectedly deceased podcast caller is discovered. Another offers a considerably worse picture of Candace's hidden existence than Lucas had anticipated, one that also implicates other sorority sisters. Regan discovers that Lucas is keeping his own secret while using her own resources to support their theory. The pressure is on to solve the murder, but before the perpetrator silences Lucas permanently, he needs to be honest about why he is pursuing this podcast.
