That's right, I wrote a book.

After toying with the notion for years, and having even presented a few dubious offers ("It's very easy! Simply complete four hours of interviewing, get a second writer, put your face on the cover, and presto!") I have chosen to write these tales by hand, as I have always done. Writing down these stories has brought me the same excitement as listening to a song I've recorded and can't wait to share with the world, or reading an old diary entry from a stained notebook, or even just hearing my voice from when I was a kid bounce between Kiss posters on my wall.

This in no way implies that I'm leaving my day job, but it does provide me with a platform to share a little bit of my experiences as a young child from Springfield, Virginia, trying to make sense of the world while pursuing my wildest musical goals. The list includes everything from going on the road with Scream when I was eighteen, to my time with Nirvana and the Foo Fighters, playing drums for Tom Petty or meeting Sir Paul McCartney at Royal Albert Hall, drumming with Iggy Pop or playing at the Academy Awards, telling bedtime stories with Joan Jett or having a chance meeting with Little Richard, and taking a plane halfway around the world for one unforgettable night with my daughters. With great joy, I look forward to sharpening the perspective through which I perceive these experiences for you.
