A monarch of a distant realm has been deceived. He swears never to be duped again after being very offended and furious. Unfortunately, unless one of the young ladies of the kingdom agrees to offer to marry the king and give up her life, the monarch's scheme to defend himself would put all of them in danger.

One young lady goes forward, to the dismay and relief of everybody. The daughter of a legendary storyteller, Shahrazad believes it is her destiny to accept this risk and sacrifice herself.

Shahrazad starts to tell a story the night she is married to the king. The monarch, enthralled, allows her to live night after night. The plan of Shahrazad will be derailed by a cunning scheme just when she is beginning to think she has discovered a method to save both her life and an unexpected love. She can only hope that love will be able to rescue her at this point.
