The Tortilla Curtain

Two couples who are headed a collision course live in Topanga Canyon. Delaney Mossbacher, a sensitive nature writer, and Kyra Mossbacher, an obsessive realtor, live a disciplined lifestyle of sushi and recycling in a recently gated hilltop enclave in Los Angeles. Mexican immigrants Cándido and América Rincón, who are battling malnutrition in a makeshift camp tucked away in a steep ravine, tenaciously hold onto their version of the American Dream. And from the time a strange accident puts Cándido and Delaney in close proximity, these four people and their disparate worlds begin to slowly collide in a tragicomedy of miscommunication and mistake.
