In the context of British counterintelligence operations, this meant tracking down the most unlikely spy conceivable—a history professor called Alfred Vicary, personally chosen by Winston Churchill to uncover an extremely dangerous, but unidentified, traitor.

But the Nazis have also selected an unexpected agent: Catherine Blake, a stunning war hero's widow who volunteers at a hospital and is a Nazi spy working directly under Hitler's instructions to find out the Allied D-Day preparations.
