On the Icarus, it's just another night like any other. The gigantic luxury spaceliner is then wrenched out of hyperspace and crashes onto the closest planet, causing a catastrophic event. Tarver Merendsen and Lilac LaRoux make it out alive. They also appear to be alone themselves.

The wealthiest guy in the universe is Lilac's father. Tarver is a young military hero from humble beginnings who discovered early on that females like Lilac are more trouble than they're worth. But because they can only depend on one another, Lilac and Tarver will have to work together to navigate the dangerous, desolate landscape in search of assistance.

Then, against all odds, Lilac and Tarver find a strange blessing in the tragedy that has thrown them into each other’s arms. They start to question whether it would be better for them to remain here permanently as they have no chance of a future together in their home planet.

When they discover the meaning behind the eerie voices that follow them everywhere, everything changes. Tarver and Lilac could manage to escape this world. However, they won't be the same individuals that arrived there.

Three planets in the Starbound trilogy. Three tales of love. Just one adversary.
